Katy Perry "Part Of Me "Film: Her Despair Over Russell Brand Revealed !

As her marriage to Russell Brand failed, Katy Perry was so  professional that she was able to perform to thousands of fans on her concert tour.



But in her new documentary film "Part Of Me", Perry is seen breaking down in tears and unable to speak as she struggled to understand and find a solution to her relationship issues.

The movie, which was filmed over her 2011 tour, saw Katy and Russell initially happy and in love.

But as the tour continued and they spent increasingly amounts of time apart, Katy has allowed the cameras to capture her devastation.


As well as showing that Katy was the one traveling the most  to visit Russell, the film also reveals their different attitudes to family.

While Russell, 37, seems to be looking forward to be a father, at 10 years younger and with only a few years of success behind her, Katy isn't quite ready.

The film shows Katy doubling over as she sobs backstage in Brazil, unable to communicate whether or not the show should go ahead.

But after composing herself, she puts a big smile on her face and is happy for her audience as the gig starts.





Another scene shows an exhausted Katy on a plane asking one of her entourage when her next break in the tour is so she can fly and see her husband.

Katy looks distressed when she is informed she won't be able to see him for another 18 days.

In another shot, a crewmember asks Katy is Russell is coming to visit her.

An angry Katy replies: "He should but he's not."




She later admits: "I'm fighting to keep my marriage alive."

A friend then adds: "She should be resting, but she wants to fly to wherever Russell is to show she cares. She's running herself ragged."

Reflecting on her documentary, Katy stated this week: "Every ten days or so I would put everybody (on the tour) on pause for three or four days so I could go back and re-charge and see to my relationship and give that time, which was very intense for me because the show was still on the road. But I made that sacrifice because it was important for me and I had made a commitment at that time. Sometimes I had to fly in on the day of the show, completely jet-lagged and feeling like I had been hung by my ankles, and have to go on stage. But it's like I pushed a button when I walked out (on stage."

In another sequence, Katy receives a text from Russell mentioning their future children, to which she claims: "I will be a mother when I decide to be a mother, but not right now. A baby can't have her baby."

A second text then prompted Katy to break down in tears.

It has to be mentioned that Russell filed for divorce from Katy - who was on tour at the time - in December 2011 after 14 months.

Tom Cruise Plastic Surgery

Tom Cruise hit the big 50 and he seems like he is about 30 or perhaps even younger? Many people -and especially Tom Cruise fans- wonder: "Has Tom Cruise had plastic surgery?"

In the past a Brazilian magazine has "outed" Cruise, claiming he's had chats with a famous plastic surgeon.

According to Hollywood Reporter, EPOCA magazine revealed: "Cruise has had meetings with world famous Brazilian surgeon Dr. Ivo Pitanguy. Cruise even invited the good doctor to the 2009 Rio premiere of "Knight and Day". And on that same trip, Cruise, wife Katie Holmes and daughter Suri were photographed having lunch at Pitanguy's private island in Brazil's Bay of Kings."

Other tabloids reported that Cruise's dreamy complexion is the result of an epic skincare regime. "The Mail Online" claimed he "slathers"on Katie Holme's foundation and even uses her mascara and "Hollywood Reporter" estimates that Tom might just be using Dr. Pitanguy's exclusive skincare line.

Whatever his secret, Tom's undoubtedly looking fresh for someone who has reached half a decade.

It wouldn't be an exaggeration to claim that Tom Cruise hardly appears to have aged since he became a Hollywood  superstar thanks to his role in 1986’s "Top Gun".

The question is: "How does Tom Cruise respond to plastic surgery rumors?"

Well, Tom Cruise insists that he has not gone under the knife.

He even went one step further to state he would "never" resort to plastic surgery in order to turn back time.

To be more exact, Tom opened up in an interview with Playboy magazine and when asked if he has had any work done, Tom quoted as saying: "I haven’t and I never would."

Tom Cruise even laughed when he was asked how he manages to look half his age and replied: "I honestly have no idea. I work. I’m always with family. I train, go without sleep. I just go hard."

The question is: "What is plastic surgeon experts' opinion about Tom Cruise's youthful looks? Has he gone under the knife or not?"

According to Dr. Anthony Youn, a Detroit-area board-certified plastic surgeon who runs the blog "Celebrity Cosmetic Surgery," Tom Cruise looks at least a decade younger than he should.

"I don't think he's found the Fountain of Youth, but he's done the next best thing- found a good plastic surgeon," claims Youn. He looks like someone who has had a plethora of the best cosmetic treatments available."

Youn, who hasn't treated Cruise, believes he's had multiple plastic surgery procedures done. "To look as good as he does, it's not possible to have had just one thing done."

Dr. Youn suspects Cruise has had Botox injections to smooth the lines between his eyebrows. He also considers that he's had a filler like Restylane injected into the deeper wrinkles of his face, particularly the nasal-labial folds that run from the nose to the corners of the mouth.  

Youn believes he's also had injections of facial plumper, such as Sculptra. "This guy is very lean, like the Madonna of men," reveals Youn. "He has almost no fat on his body yet his face has retained softness. A 50-year-old guy with no body fat should be rugged looking, gaunt and have no fat on his face."

It has to be noted that Scuptra is typically injected every six weeks for three or four treatments. The effect is so gradual that people often don't even spot it. "It literally is the Benjamin Button effect," Youn reveals.

But Youn noticed that it's not just Cruise's face that looks younger. His neck does as well. At his age, he'd expect him to have loose skin under his neck, which he doesn't, Youn claims. And while he doesn't think Cruise has had a facelift, he suspects he's having regular skin-tightening treatments. One candidate is ReFirme, a light-based treatment that combines radio frequency and infrared light. Typically that's done about once a month on a regular basis.

All these treatments can cost tens of thousands of dollars, Youn reveals, and the effect will vanish unless they're repeated. "For a normal person on a budget it would be hard to keep up, but for him, it's not a big deal."

Youn says while Cruise looks as good as he did back when he was starring in 1992's "A Few Good Men," he wouldn't recommend he do anything in addition besides maintenance.

Plastic surgeon Dr. John Di Saia claims: "I’ve seen images of him as a younger man. He seems to have had a nose or two."

The majority of plastic surgeon experts believe that Tom Cruise has had at least one nose job and more recently, anti-aging procedures rejuvenation procedures like fillers and also laser skin treatments like Fraxel or CoolTouch.

He is rumored to be the subject of a recent Blind Item making the rounds:

"In the late 00′s, his face was starting to sag and lose its elasticity. His face pretty much fluttered in the breeze as he ran. He had lines around his eyes and bags under them."

"Now, frankly, this is not a big deal. All faces age. Really! But this ego maniacal liar wants you to believe that he is no mere mortal, and that his looks are all natural because he lives such an extraordinary life. That’s right, People! He’s not like you! He works hard to stay young! He has never had plastic surgery and never will! Or so he claims."

"Here’s the truth: He had a nose job when he was in his teens (he had the bridge thinned out). He had his teeth completely redone (although we wouldn’t include teeth in the plastic surgery category). He had his eyeballs replaced. He had a mid-section face lift and lower blepharoplasty (eye job) around 2009. He is currently holding off on upper eye work (because that would drastically change his look). Now he just has regular injections of Botox and Restylane to freeze things up and plump them out. Hey, it’s good work, he doesn’t look "done", and his face settled in nicely six months after the plastic surgery. But it’s still plastic surgery. And he is still a liar. (via Blind Gossip)"

Judging by the before and after photos it is more than obvious that Tom Cruise has definitely had plastic surgery. It appears that Tom is such a perfectionist that has turned himself into Benjamin Button. As for the tweets about Tom Cruise's youthful appearance are hilarious! To give you an example: "Tom Cruise is totally Benjamin Buttoning" tweeted @Buzzfeed. "I think he's 14 now. He's going to die a baby" tweeted @BillDixonish.

Tom Cruise Lawyer

Tom Cruise's long-time and powerful lawyer Bert Fields has stated that Tom wants a peaceful divorce from Katie Holmes who filed papers to put an end to their five-and-a-half year marriage on Friday while her husband was on the set of a film in Iceland.

"I would hope that it’s not a contentious matter," Fields told the "Los Angeles Times".

"I know Tom is not a particularly contentious person."

While Katie Holmes, 33, hired two lawyers - New York lawyer Allan E. Mayefsky and New Jersey divorce lawyer Jonathan Wolfe- to represent her in the divorce, believed to be worth up to $275 million, Fields claimed that Cruise, 49, had yet to marshall his own legal team.

"We’re thinking about who to use," quoted as saying Fields. "We have to discuss strategy."

It’s just been reported that Tom has hired famous divorce lawyer Dennis Wasser to rep him, the same lawyer he used in 2001 when he divorced Nicole Kidman eleven years ago!

It has to be mentioned  that thanks to Tom Cruise's lawyer, Tom petitioned for and got primary custody of their two adopted kids: Connor and Isabella.

Sci Fi Icons #9--Ray Bradbury

I really should have posted this one earlier. Ray Bradbury passed away nearly a month ago at the age of 91. His contributions to science fiction--he helped establish the concept--sorely deserved mention then. Better late than never to eulogize.

In his childhood, Bradbury was a voracious reader of the pioneers of science fiction and fantasy jules Verne, H. G. Wells, L. Frank Baum, Edgar Allan Poe, and Edgar Rice Burroughs, among others. His interest in the genres lead him to begin a lifelong friendship with Forrest J. Ackerman after his family moved to Los Angeles in the min-’30’s. Ackerman inducted Bradbury into the Science Fiction League, a group of up and coming authors that included Robert A. Heinlein, Fedric Brown, and jack Wilkinson. Future speial effects wizard Ray Harrausen was also a member.

Bradbury made his first professional sale to pulp magazine Super science stories in 1941. The sale launhed a career in short stories, novels, teleplays, and screenplays that did not end until 2006 with the publication of Bradbury’s final novel, Farewell summer, in 2006. Among Bradbury’s most famous written works are Something Wicked this way Comes, The Martian Chronicles, and the iconic anti-censorship Fahrenheit 451. four hundred and fifty-one degrees Fahrenheit being the temperature at which paper--specifically books here--burns.

Bradbury himself disputed the label ’science fiction writer.” He believed himself to be a fantasist who wrote only one science fiction novel--the aforementioned Fahrenheit 451. Bradbury believed all science fiction should be based in reality. Anything that could not possibly happen is fantasy. This famous declaration regarding Fahrenheit 451 as his only science fiction and his definition of such, is his warning It could Happen here.

In spite of Bradbury’s assertion he was not a science fiction writer, his contributions to the genre are legion. I recently mention of the most famous famous, the Butterfly Effect, in a recent Stargate SG-1 review. The Butterfly Effect is when a seemingly insignifant change made in the past drastically alters the future. Very few science fiction franchises have not touch on the concept.

I was a late comer to Bradbury. I had watched some of The Martian chronicles miniseries in the early ’80’s when my Star Wars crazed mind sought out any and all science fiction. I was too young to appreciate it and Bradbury’s writing until high school age when my fondness for Harlan Ellison prompted me to seek him out. I am certainly glad I did.

Stargate SG-1--"The Fourth Horseman, Part I"

‘The Fourth Horseman, Part I” is the first part of the ninth season’s midway cliffhanger. As such, it is a lot of set up waiting for a big payoff when the back ten episodes air later. It gets the job one. The episode does well in setting up an exciting cliffhanger, but has some weak points on its own.

An undercover SG team returns from a planet that has converted to origin unknowingly carrying the Ori plague. One of the team members is a Typhoid Mary who spreads the plague into the general population by attending a speech by Hammond, who makes such a brief cameo, one wonders why the powers that be bothered, whereupon the audience scatters all over the country afterwards. Within hours, the president declares the entire country under quarantine.

Orlin, Sam’s ascended stalker, returns in order to provide a cure and reveal the truth about the Ori. They do not offer ascension. It is all a lie to get people to worship them. Their power comes from others’ belief in them. Orlin has to hurry in order to come up with a cure for the plague. Although he has come down to our plane of existence as a child in order to retain as muh of his Ancient knowledge as possible, he is quickly deteriorating. He is also played by a kid actor whi cannot put the slightest lick of emotion behind his lines. His delivery is stiff as a two by four. I will concede his demeanor may be an intentional way of demonstrating the awkwardness of going from being an Ancient to a human, but it comes across as a kid who is reading his lines off a teleprompter because he cannot memorize them. Like any speech you have ever heard Barack Obama give.

Meanwhile, Sam and Dr. Lee are working on an anti-Prior weapon. The weapon, based on studying Khalek’s brain, is designed to shut off the section of a Prior’s brain that controls his powers. One cannot help but note that studying Khalek in order to create such a weapon is exactly what Woolsey wanted to do in the previous episode, and he was considered the bad guy. Cam and Daniel are sent off to capture the Prior who infected the undercover team in order to get a blood samples for the weapon. They are subsequently captured by the Sodan.

The main point of “The Four Horsemen, Part I” for me is the promised shift from the Ori being anti-Christian allegory to anti-Islam. Garek has fallen under the spell of the Ori. He has decided it is the true path, so he proposes legislating it to all Jaffa like Shari law. When many Jaffa balk, a Prior orders Garek to attack Chulak and slaughter any Jaffa who does not convert. Garek ultimately cannot bring himself to commit the atrocity, but id eventually converted into a Prior himself by the Doci.

As I mentioned before, the cliffhangers are exciting. The United states under quarantine, Orlin may or may not have enough Ancient knowledge left to cure the plague, Cam and Daniel captured, and Garek now a Prior all build anticipation for the resolution. But the episode as a standalone has some weak spots. I have already mentioned the kid who plays Orlin leaves much to be desired. The brief Hammond cameo was so frivolous one wonders whyb it is even there. Bra’tac finally shows up as a vital member of the High Council after being missing for several other important incidents in previous episodes. The Doci’s appearance is spliced in from his previous, so there is nothing new with him. I literally laughed at that one. Reusing stock shots is one thing. Reusing old scenes with characters spouting off the same dialogue is quite another. If Julian Sands was not available to film a new scene, work around it. Come on, guys. Low budget or not, Stargate SG-1 is supposed to be a show crafted by experts.
