Jewel Staite is further proof they grow ‘em nicely in Canada.
There was some dissent when I claimed Summer Glau was heavily identified as River tam. Is there more consensus Staite is forever going to be Kaylee Frye, or will an army of Gatters come after me with baseball bats for besotting the sweet McKay/Keller romance? I need to know what kind of reception to expect.
Outside of Firefly and Stargate Atlantis, Staite has made appearances in science fiction television shows as a child actor in The x-Files to a recent spin on Warehouse 13 with some voice work in animation between.
